I am new first post so be gentle! I saw all the mid travel post. I live down south so no dunes or sand but trails and offroad parks. Looking at TC UCAs and Fox coil overs deaver rear springs not sure about shocks. I do pull small trailer with two ATVs. Should I just keep rear stock? Which fox coil overs I need 2" to 3" of lift to clear 285/70/17 super swamper iroks. On DC1 17x9 wheels. $$$ is a budget build! I would like more wheel travel and stability. If I ask anyone around my location about mid or long travel suspension they look at me like I got a third eye. Just not popular everybody is running 6" lifts for looks around me. 2006 TRD sport LB 4x4. Current set up is rev tech 2" spacers and 1" block in the back. Any help or suggestions is much appreciated! First post so if I missed anything or could have done better explaining let me know!

Swampers on DC1 17x9 wheels, with fox coilovers and deaver leafs... Not a budget build!

That said, I totally think you should still do it. That'll be a huge improvement over ucky spacers/blocks.

If you're gonna go with Fox Coilovers up front, then go ahead and run Fox Shocks in the rear, the main reason I would do this is I want my brands to match on similar aspects such as shocks due to their engineering department designing them to work well together.

I am unfamiliar with deaver springs, but I know my Dakars gave me more lift out back than I got in the front, and the only remedy for me to level the truck out was to get adjustable front coilovers... because I did not want to install spacers to try and bring the front of the truck up, and I needed to do so in order to clear my 285's.

Here is a good thread about the fox coilovers over in the suspension forum:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/40191-fox-2-0-vs-2-5-coilover.html

I call those drag trucks, because they're wearing high heels.

Anyway, Looking forward to seeing your build. It sounds like you're started off in the right direction (AWAY From spacers).

I'm sorta asking for both of us, but he'll need limiting straps too won't he?

I am pretty sure he won't need limiting straps unless he is jumping his truck and needs them to limit the shocks from dropping completely out.

I would go fox's all around but it won't be a cheap build.

I never said cheap just budget. The only the only thing cheap so far on my truck is the loose nut behind the wheel

I'm just trying to get my stuff straight so don't use deaver pack for the rear due to hauling because it preloads the front fox coil overs?

Gotcha! Thanks any suggestions usually only haul a sport atv on occasion so say in going on the heavy side but 600lbs. But mostly pulling a trailer with 3 ATVs.
