I just purchased a 2006 Tacoma TRD Sport. I want to fold back the mirrors in parking lots so they don't get broken off. I read in the manual that they simply fold back but I tried folding back my drivers side mirror and it won't budge. I am afraid to push it any harder as it feels like something is going to snap. Am I just not pushing hard enough on it? They are stock mirrors.

If there is what looks like a hinge attaching it to the mount, I'd just push harder. Maybe it is stuck after nearly a decade without moving.

I PB Blasted them in the joint and gave them a shove and both let go and folded back. I doubt they had ever been folded back since new as they were stuck really good. Thanks.
