Back seat Conversion from flip down to flip over

Im wondering if its possible to change the back seats that flip down to mount to the front of the storage compartments below the seat like in the 2005. To create more flat area in the back seat when they fold forward.

I have done a little research but have not found alot of info on being able to do so.

Any info would be great!

You're in the generation 3 forum (+2016), there isn't any info yet about modifying 2016's.

OP, I have seen a thread on this. A guy with newer 2nd gen said he swapped rear interiors with an older 2nd gen owner. I would also like to have the fold-over flat surface, but I do occasionally carry a rear passenger, and the newer seats are more comfortable.

 

He doesn't need to, he was right to begin with. The mods move threads from the 3rd gen to 2nd gen every day because people keep posting in the wrong place. This thread was moved to 2nd gen by the mods.

 

It should be possible and easy if you find the parts.

I have wanted to do this myself. I hate the seats that flip down vs the ones that flip over
