Relationship between age and number of mods?

I'm 26 almost 27.

Most of my vehicles were stock
77silverado
86silverado
02 had some simple mods

Had a 72 chevelle that was basically stock per-say but had shy of 700hp.

My 07 tacoma is not stock but simple

 

I guess as I've gotten older the mods I do tend to be functional, ie: husky liners, bed mat, tool box etc. There was a time when I modified a vehicle based on cool looks, the way it made me feel driving it and the heads it turned going down the road. There is nothing wrong with that - I really enjoy seeing the tricked-out rigs you guys spend so much time putting together. Maybe I'm just getting boring...

 

I'm 52 and never knew what a mod was , for all practical purposes , until my oldest son got into sport compact cars about 5 years ago. I started helping him with his projects and decided I needed a project of my own.

One 95 TT 6MT Supra..almost purely performance mods..and now an 05 TRD Sport Tacoma with several mods and I am offically broke. The bug bit me later in life, but it bit me hard.

BTW I sold the Supra because I couldn't afford my sons car and mine both. Damn kids!!

Not sure how I fit into the mix but I'm 40 and my mods are in my signature. I just picked up my new toy 2 weeks ago today. I'm not done modding yet. Getting an exhasut this Sat and coilovers probably next Spring. And a couple of gauges will be going in as well.

 

At 38, I've slowed down definitely from my 90's minitruck days but I still have plenty of mods. I just go for the more practical ones now. But believe me, I'll be getting new wheels eventually. I can't believe I still have the stock crap steelies on there.

 

I am 50 and nothing I own is stock Multiple mods on various rides.

48 & mod everything...house, car, bikes, truck. Basically, when I look at something the wheels are turning inside about how that could be improved, refined or personalized. Rarely do I see something & think there's nothing that could be done to enhance it. Always tinkering with stuff. Had the Taco for 4 months & have been moddin it since I got it. Might be close to lettin it ride for awhile but always wanting to do something else, lol.

 

Like a good bottle of Jack it gets better and smoother with age. I'm pushing 50, and started modding heavy when I found TW. True I modded other trucks but nothing like this one.
Being this age and turning heads from girls and guys half my age..............priceless.

Almost 42 and truck is stock but I've only had it a coupla months. I just want the option of putting on bigger tires so I'll eventually change the wheels. Not sure what to do about the TPMS. No performance mods for me. It's a 4 banger and it ain't going to go much faster. Stereo is OK. I drive back and forth to work, some on the weekend so I don't feel I'm in it enough to justify a $1000 stero. Wow, sounds like I'm getting old.

 

I'm 47 and still mod'in. It's an addiction that started in high school with my first car. Now that the web has great places like this to find information, it's much easier to do mods.

In addition the mods in my sig, over the next few weeks I'll be adding :

1. Color matched (Speedway Blue) headlights. Paint will be here tomorrow.

2. Dash light color change. Already have the parts.

3. Blackout my chrome badges.

4. Color match my grill badge to my paint color.

 

you just need to get on some of these dang GBs you keep setting up and you wont be stock anymore!!!

 

I am 34 and have done a few inexpensive mods. I have completed the daytime running lights, anytime on fog lights, hood protector, "TSS" 3rd brake light, bed lights, seat covers, backseat DVD's, seat belt chime mod, & Sirius radio. There are still some I want to do, I just need to find the time.

 

Thank you. It was a sad day, but I had become so anal about the car I was hardly enjoying it anymore. I got lucky and got rid of it just before the bottom dropped out.

 

Just 54 here and mod whenever I can. There may not be a relationship between age and number of mods, but there may be a relationship between type of mods when you are older.

 

that's how I feel at 34. I have realized that by trying to make my Vehicle stand out, it just looks the same as all the other vehicles trying to stand out. so it's pointless.
Plus i have always been into sleeper type vehicles.
I few useful mods wouldn't hurt though.
