    Hey guys,

I sold my Tacoma about a year and a half ago and well I've regretted it ever since. I loved my truck but was trying to cut back on cost since I work from home and didn't really see the need for a new car and high payment. Well I'm sick of the DD I bought to replace it and want to get another. I found a 2011 Black TRD Sport nearby with only 8,954mi on it - Toyota Certified - 1 Owner. It has side steps and a Leer top on it. I'd love to grab this truck but the dealer will not budge on price. They are asking $30.879. I just can't justify spending this on an almost 5 yr old vehicle. What do you guys feel would be a fair price to offer and see if I can make something happen.

buddy of mine just payed 31,000 + tax for the exact same truck with 70,000 kms on it.

i dont know about pricing in your area but its a low mileage desirable truck so they prob wont budge?

I paid 32.5k for my brand new 2015 TRD Sport 4WD LB. I would consider new at that price.

    None yet! It's new!
Whoa! That seems high. In 2010, I bought a CPO 2009 TRD Sport with 3,400 miles on it, for something like $24K. A one year old truck. I'd be amazed if prices have gone up that much in that amount of time. Just seems high to me.

Exactly! I tried to tell the sales woman this - she offered me $200 off if I test drive it lol. I had a 2011 Sport that I bought brand new and pd less at that time. I got the whole well these are popular trucks and hold their value. I might be better off going for a 15 would just prefer and earlier 2nd gen.

I agree. I don't think I paid that much 4 years ago for mine. I'm just a sucker for low mileage and would love to get this just not for what they're asking.

for sure. I just got my 15 off road, for $32k as well. Pricing like this is why I went new. There were CPOs sitting on the lot listed for more than what I paid for new.

I'd just by new. Better interest rate on a new/prior year loan. Toyota knows someone will pay $30k for a 4 year old truck, but it wouldn't be me. In the long run, whats $2k...

Paid $28,500 for my 2011 TRD TX 3 years ago with 6k miles. Seems kinda high but it's crazy how well they hold their value.

I bought my 2015 TRD Sport PreRunner DCLB with 3k miles on it for $30k out the door last week. That took 5 hours of negotiation however...

that kind of pricing on used tacomas is precisely what made me by a new one. The difference in used versus new just wasn't worth it to have a used vehicle.

Well...it does have a topper on it. Depending on if you like the topper, that's a nice chunk of value right there. I kinda go the other way. I have a '10 with less miles than that, so it's nice to see that asking price. For these ultra low mileage perfect examples, it's tough to value. I know I wouldn't trade mine for a new one. Mainly, because I would need to redo all the mods. I would hate to sell it off cause I would feel like someone would get too nice of a truck for a too low used truck price....

The dealer's asking price seems HIGH, when compared to a new 2015. The local Toyota dealer just sold a 2015 TRD Sport DCSB in MGM for $32K. I was looking at it last week - just looking. I am happy with the truck I have.

Thanks fellas. I know it's a crazy price. I just really like the truck but I think I'm gonna go for a 2015. I offered them $27,500 and they said absolutely not so I'm gonna have to walk away.
