I think it will push out. Take the inside door panel off; it comes off "fairly" easy.

I have one a little higher up and I tried to push it out but I can't because there's a support "bar" in the way.

Ok is there any other metal in between that and the door panel? Cause that what it looked like to me like there was another piece in between that and the door panel so I didn't know if I would be able to get to it that was gonna be the first thing I was gonna try hoping it would bang out a good 80% of the way

Be really careful if you try to push it out yourself. Don't use any sharp or hard objects. The door skins are a lot softer than you think (ask me how I know... :frusty:)

That being said, you should be able to push it out, or I would suggest going to a paintless dent repair (PDR) place. They would do that for about $100 and you will never even know it was there.

As far as the scrapes in the paint, take a little bit of WD-40 on a rag and wipe it - I bet most of that will disappear. It is usually more of the other guy's paint that rubbed of than actual scratch through your paint. What's left and really scratched can then be touched up.

Good luck and let us know how it worked out.

Yeah I think I'm gonna try the paint less dent repair cause I looked at the dent again and there's no crease which is good news so if I can get them to pull the dent out I can deal with a couple scratches here and there

Not sure if it works, but I've heard of people inserting a deflated basket ball. Then pump it up super slow, no sharp edges and can position as needed.

x2 on PDR. The paint can be fixed with Scratch X or Meguiar's rubbing compound but usually that's included with PDR service.

It won't work on that one but on front and rear panels where you have some solid backing, stuffing towels in until the dent pops out works great.

As low as the dent is, it looks like you can push it out with your hand once you get the door panel off. The only "foreseeable" issue is the very bottom of the dent but like someone else said be careful on what you use to push it out.

Did you get this repaired? If so, did they reapply the thick coating that is under the paint on the rocker and bottom of the door (you can see the ripples under the paint)?

Yes I did get it repaired after telling the wife if she's going to hit poles I'm getting sliders to protect my truck from her driving. You can't tell there was any damage done to the truck at all. They had to respray the majority of the side to blend the paint in which is what cost so much.

Oh man.... The wives are going to take us down. Mine side swiped a trashcan in the jeep a few weeks ago. Repair looks good though, but for a pretty penny!

What about the coating that was under the paint? Did they add that back, or is it smooth now?

I'm asking because I have a dent on my rocker, but it's small enough I don't care about it. However it did crack the paint. So I was wanting to just paint the spot and leave the dent, but wasn't sure if they replaced the coating underneath. Is the side that they repaired smooth and your driver side kind of rough (or rippled) under the paint all along the rocker and very bottom of the door?

It has the ripple paint still. I'll take a picture of where I *think* the repair was done... It looks good enough I can't tell it was ever fixed.
