    hey all

well ive had just about enough of that ping ting clunk noise when braking.

with further research on this awsome forum i came across some threads about greasing the back of the pads and adding a spring to the top the the pads. i ripped of the wheels and took a look at the brake pads. sure enough they move up and down and create the same noise while on road.

i live in the middle of nowhere canada with the nearest dealer/parts store a good 2 hours away. so i got to thinking and bang, i seen some tie wire sitting in the shop. heck ill just make my own spring retainer thing.

well 30 mins, some tie wire and snips, the sound is gone!

pics are woth a thousand words. let me know what you guys think.

    Hey racer1

I will be replacing the pins when the pads need to be done. I know a lot of guys are having this problem. It is a quick fix and pretty ghetto but it's a fix. Toyota dropped the ball on this one imho.
