Anyone driven both and seen any difference in the ride or performance with the two?

I've driven my buddies six speed and my five speed and see no major differences but another gear. Both manuals. They seem to shift the same, different, but the same.

My 6 speed is way faster then my old 5 speed but that may have something to do with the engine. Other then that no differences, both creak.

Manuals. I've never really had an affinity for automatics.
