Rear differential fluid recommendations?

I suppose we do. In our area the two Shell stations that I go to both have "no ethanol added" on 93 octane. Might be a lie I dunno. But that's one reason I run it. The other reason is the fuel test run on Fifth Gear a couple years ago.

Mobil 1 in front, rear and transfer case. No problems at all. Sythentic is fine if you wanna spend the money and wont hurt a thing.

 

With no locker in the back you are free to use just about any Diff Fluid you like with no additive. I've changed mine every 30K and used whatever 75/90 synthetic was on sale at the time.

As for the gasket. I've never replaced it and it's never leaked a drop.

 

AutoZone carries chevron delo 75w90 synthetic and it's less expensive than the dino 75w90 in my area. It was around $6 or $7 a quart. I've only got about 2k miles on the fluid change, but so far so good.

 

I ended up just going w/ walmarts supertech 80w90. It was $12.97 a gallon. Did some research couldn't find anyone that had any problems... At that price I'll change it every 10-15k.

 

Perfect. You shouldn't have any issues at all with Super Tech.
