Tire question

Will 275/70/17 tires rub on stock suspension and factory wheels or will I have to have a lift?

A 265/70/17 is the same size as a 265/75/16, which will fit stock suspension/wheels with no rubbing.

A 275/70/17 is not only a little bigger, but the extra width plays a role as well in fitment and rubbing. They will possibly fit stock suspension/wheels without rubbing in normal driving, but they will likely rub off-road. They're right on the border though, so if they do rub, it should take very minimal trimming to clear them.

275/70/17 is what I really WANT t get in the next couple months BUT I'm afraid it WILL RUB. I'm all STOCK except 5100's set at 1.75". I do NOT off-road anymore and NO MALL, just street driving.

Just remember all tires are not created equal, meaning that all 265/70, etc are different widths. Call discount tire. I know they have a database on what fits without issues.

I have 275 70 17 KO2s and they just barely clear the stock upper control arm with the 5100s cranked. My truck does get taken off road with work and all.
