My husband has had hip surgery and I checked the Tacoma truck and I see that the antifreeze looks very low. Can I go to the auto store and buy any kind or do I need to get a special one. Also I bought a new windshield wiper blade but I can't figure out how to get the old one off. I even looked at a video on line. Any suggestions.

If the coolant level is not below the "low" line when cold, then it's fine. If it's below that line when cold, then get the pink/orange Toyota coolant.

Zerex Asian Vehicle Formula is perfectly miscible with the factory coolant. Available at most auto parts stores in a 50/50 mix ready to go straight in.

to remove wiper it is easy

the wiper arm ends in a u-shape

lift the arm, under the U shape at the end of the wiper arm,
facing the glass is a little plastic tab you need to squeeze deeper
into the u-shape and the wiper should be able to be pulled out of the
U by wiggling it. the tab might be hard
to press or impossible if you have long fingernails, so use a small screwdriver
to press the tab in (most auto parts stores can install wiper blades for you)

here in this pic, when the tab is pressed (being pressed up in the pic) the wiper can slide to the left and come off

DO NOT let go of that wiper arm. It will crack your windshield

Ditto on the Zerex Asian Formula Coolant. Available in more places and much cheaper than the Dealers SLLC. I have 2 Toyota vehicles that call for Toyota's SLLC coolant running now on the Zerex formula.

Take it to your local Toyota dealer...... ask them to 'Top off the coolant reservoir'. I got lucky....they didn't charge me anything to do that.

Even so, it can't cost all that much for them to add some even if they did charge you. They already have it in house and premixed.
