They are comparing the PRO to a regular Colrado, what did you expect?

Dont get me wrong, I love tacomas but this is somewhat of a silly statement as the Tacoma has no competition. By that logic it is also the least capable small pickup available in the U.S today.

Seems like the Powerwagon is about the same as a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon according to the reviewer:stirthepot:.

I went for the '15 Taco over the Chevy Colorado about a month ago. I wish the Taco had more horsepower than it does though. And I wish the bed/tailgate were a bit more rugged.

Otherwise I went for the Taco because: A) I could get one cheaper than the Colorado. B) It's a Toyota for God's sake. C) Better potential resale value - It's a Toyota. D) Long history of aftermarket support. E) Known track record without 'unknown' futures for reliability, recalls, etc.

Why didn't I wait for the 2016 Taco? Impatience... and I figure with the Colorado being more expensive and the 2016 Tacoma likely being the better vehicle why wouldn't it's price go up?

No it was a Z71 Colorado. They don't have a Colorado Pro. ;)

I meant prior to the gm rebirth. Forgot about the frontier, guess it wasn't competition in my mind. Haha

Four Wheel Network is about as accurate and important as The National Enquirer. The new GM twins are forcing toyota to up their game and I hope it keeps toyota on its toes.

I appreciate the colorado for what it is. I also agree that the best thing from the colorado is the motivation for toyota to get off their ass and make a new truck. I generally run a truck for 8-10 years. By then the bugs and problems with the new tranny and motor will be disclosed (if any) on the 3rd gens and I will look at new again. I think the Chevy will be like all other big three cars... Rushed into production and we hope that they can last 36k to get us out of the warranty. I drove s10 trucks for years. The newer they got the more problems I had. Then the colorado was so bad that I went full size gmc. Then a ridgeline that was great. Finally I went toyota and haven't looked back.

GM makes shit vehicles. period. they crank them out and are a billion dollar company
but it is all a bunch of rehashed cheese in new containers each year

Toyota is similar but the cheese is high-quality and high-demand

    it is known

I disagree. The Corvette and most GM vehicles that I have owned have been trouble free. I currently have a 2013 Lexus GS350 F Sport and the quality of the interior is flawless, but my toyota seems very cheap as far as quality goes, so I guess the toyota is a Lexus in a very cheap container?

GM has stepped up and others will have to do the same. I'm betting the quality and options on the 2016 Tacoma will be much better than the second generation and I'm sure that is due to GM stepping up. We will see when the new Taco is out.

lol. I went and test drove a Colorado and canyon.....then sold my Tacoma 3 weeks later. I have a new z-71 on order. Was an easy choice folks. If I want an off road vehicle, I will run my sxs. I use my truck to get sh!t and go places via the road. The gm are clearly superior in about every aspect I hold dear. Maybe yota will up there game and start from scratch like gm did. They need to.

90% of Chevys are still on the road. The other 10% made it home.
