If the ECU apocalypse befalls us, that will just be the final push I need to build a twin-turbo 1GR with a standalone ECU.

2nd Gen Problems Will Reach Biblical Proportions in the Coming Years

    Biblical.... Really???!!!

As in the Ten Calamities upon Egypt, Moses parting the seas, the great Exodus from Tacoma ownership?

The difference between a fool and a wise man is that a wise man learns from his mistakes, a fool does the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome each time.

You just traded in your ECU-plagued 2009 for a 2015.

    ... and started this thread:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/365664-saying-goodby-your-tacoma.html

... and alluding to gay tendencies because you did so. WTF??

    You're a freakin' drama queen.

Most people will get at least 6 months longer service life out of their ECU's due to there trucks sitting on dealer lots waiting for frame replacements.

Ah Crap . OP let the cat out of the bag . Truck was running fine until I see this post yesterday and all of a sudden my check engine light starts blinking and the truck completely died leaving me stranded in the middle of an intersection . There was white smoke everywhere and the officer who called the tow truck for me thought I was smoking the funny stuff ....sorta had a similar aroma .
Hooked up the scanner after I was towed to my garage and every code possible is listed .
Went here for a diagnostic http://www.customtacos.com/tech.old...6toyrm/06toypdf/06rmsrc/rm2006ta/00100410.pdf

Sure enough ! My ECU is pooched . Why Me ? I went to church when I was a kid :D
I swear as soon as I read this post " POOF " ....It was like a lightning bolt came down from the heavens striking my ECU
