Youll get a little more travel when used in conjunction with an aftermarket control arm.

ICON has some pretty nice, pre-packaged kits available. The stage 3 should meet everyone of your needs and more.

Whats wrong with having uni-ball UCA's by the ocean? Sorry noob here on that aspect.

How much do the the Icon progressive AAL's add in height for the rear?

I'm running a stage 4 w/o CDC and Dakars in the rear. It all works together fine. Dak's will carry some weight, and they can be a little squeaky unloaded. I would do it just the same next time, but I'd probably add the CDC.

And I'd go here: http://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com/Scripts/default.asp. Ask for Barbara King.

Stage 3 with tubular arms. Set it and forget it (expect for adjusting the CO's occasionally for spring sag). No vibes, no diff/carrier bearing drop needed.

Spend the money get a aftermarket UCA and ext travel CO. You will be glad you did. Guys say you get a "little more travel" you actually get a pretty considerable amount in reference to what you already had. I love my ICON UCA's they are quiet and give me a great amount of flex and travel with no sway bar.

I will eventually buy new leaf packs but my stockers with the progressive AAL are going to be worn out by then.

    enough to go over stuff
I have extended travel upfront with Icon UCA's. In the rear I have Icon 2.0 resi's with the dakar leafs. I love the setup and Ive had no issues. The dakars a stiff without a load in the bed but I usually have alot of wieght. The Icon add a leaf wasnt enough for my truck.

    Yes.

    Stage 1 - Reg Length 2.5 CO & Rear 2.0 Non-Res
    Stage 2 - Reg Length 2.5 CO & Rear 2.0 Res + AAL
    Stage 3 - Ext Length 2.5 CO + Arm & Rear 2.0 Res + AAL

Some vendors will do a "Stage 2.5" with the Arms, Ext Coilovers & 2.0NR rear shocks.

    Icon all around
OK Guys here's my choices, keep in mind I don't have extra weight and prefer a softer ride. I got the GB on the Icons for the front, now trying to figure out the rear. I'm leaning toward the OME since it seems to give the most lift (and decent travel). I have a friend who got this setup then had to add more leaves since he had a heavy rear bumper. I'm just not confident the Icon AAL with 1.5" lift will be enough... and ride well.

    Place your votes!

    Option 1: $534.85
    - $214.95 Icon AAL 1.5" lift (includes U-Bolts)
    - $319.90 Icon rear shocks (56503) 14.22x23.25 (9" travel)

    Option 2: $634.85
    - $214.95 Icon AAL 1.5" lift (includes U-Bolts)
    - $419.90 Icon rear shocks (56503-EXT) 15.9x26.8 (11" travel)

    Option 3: $658.23
    - $412.30 OME Rear Springs 2.75" lift (CS047R)
    - $168.00 OME Rear Shocks (N182) 13.85x23.93 (10" travel) - These are on sale because they are getting phased out - the 60091 replaces them for $214.70, supposed to be firmer
    - $34.20 OME U-Bolts (OMEU53A)
    - $12.35 OME Fitting Kit (FK29)
    - $31.38 OME Bushing kit (OMESB108 x 2)

Went with Option #1 and it' working great. I kept the overload springs and seemed to get 2" of lift. Ride seems fine.
