I have a 2015 PreRunner with the TSS package (17" wheels, running boards, embroidered floor mats, and bed side stickers). I dig the wheel and tire upgrade, but I can't decide about the stickers.

To be clear, I'm just fine with the truck itself. 2x4 is just fine 363 days a year (and we're closed the other 2 days). It'll just be commuting, doing a little home improvement and gardening, plenty camping, never more than a dirt road. I wanted cargo capacity, not off-road ability. PreRunner fits the needs and the budget, and I suspect we outnumber 4x4s in this part of the country.

But are these stickers trying too hard? Are "real truck" guys laughing at me? Am I thinking too hard about this? Has this coffee break really been 45 minutes already?

Remove them all. I de-badged and de-stickered. Now the truck looks sleek and clean.

Well, it does sound a bit, umm, civilized? Soccer-mommy? Prissy? Wann-be? No offense, we know that's how Toyota built it.

Nope. They don't 'do' anything. :p

Do you actually care? I certainly hope not. I'm sure they all laugh at my 5 lug base. Whoopee.

    Probably.

Just decide if YOU like the stickers or not, and if you're willing to live with them for your planned length of ownership. If you want them off, now is the time. Longer waiting means harder removal.

Then it just looks like you made the thing in your garage imo. There is no proof its a Tacoma on the outside of the truck if you take ALL the badges off.

Owners of trucks made by the big three tend to think they have "real trucks".

I tend to laugh at them.

It's YOUR truck brother. Don't worry about what anyone else "thinks" of your truck. If you're happy with it and it does what "you" want it to do that's all that matters.

I've long since past the age of giving a fuck what someone else thinks but that just me.

    Pulezze.

Does putting Tacoma badges on a Ford make it one?

    No?

Taking them off doesn't keep it from being one either.

Thanks again. My main concern was leaking or condensation but I've had no issues and it has done nothing but rain / snow here for the last 2 months.
