I have a 3" Lift on My Taco and have 265-75-16 on it now. Just got the truck and the tires are loud / aggressive (Nitto Grapplers) and was thinking about going to Michelin LTX M/s2 for a more Highway ride. Anyway, the Michelin is available in a little larger tire 285-75-16.

What do you guys think? The Michelins are Load E if that makes a difference.

I put on 285's and they were hitting the UCA's. I had to put on 1" spacers to get the truck off the rack. Then the tires were rubbing everywhere. I would have had to do a lot of trimming to keep them. It's odd how some people can put on 285's with no issues and then there was me... I went down to a 265/70. Granted the truck does not look as nice as it did with the 285's but I have total function and that is worth way more for me.

x2. I had to trim some of the plastic liner on the inner fender, but you would never know unless u got under there and looked.

Your truck looks nice. How do your wheel specs differ from mine? I have stock sports wheels.

If that was directed at me, mine are 16" and yours are 17", everything else is the same - someone correct me if I'm wrong. I am using wheel spacers tho

It was and thanks. Strange how these trucks can be so similar yet so different.

I run 285/75/16 Duratracs with a 3 inch lift and didn't have to trim at all.

I'm trying to attach a screen shot of the tire and specs.

Also - Here is mine with the 265-75-16's on it now. Sorta hard to see - I'll try a better pic tomorrow.

Anyone have experience with Nitto Terra Grapplers? vs a Michelin Highway tread? Noise, ride?

michelins will probably be smoother and quieter than the terra grapps. also depends on load range, weight, etc...

I like the look of 285s but I will stick to 265/75/16 on my stock OR rims...no trimming and OK fuel economy.
I'm not sure if I will get KM2s or Duratrac (C) - I would love to get the Duratrac because they are a lot lighter than the KM2s but I keep hearing mixed reviews about them

Did you consider any of the 2 tires I mentioned?

Went with the Michelin LTX M/S2 and WOW - so smooth and quiet! Guys - I highly recommend this tire unless you are just after the loud mudders out there!

Are you gonna sell the Nittos? Or have you already done so?

    Some stuff...
X2 I had to trim for my setup. BTW, my Discoverer ST Maxx are very quiet and mild mannered on the highway so might be another rubber option to consider.

Michelin's are a superior tire for on road use for sure. Have run Toyo Open Country A/T and Michelin LT/X on our trucks (half and 3/4 tons) and the Michelins outperform (tread wear, road noise, wet grip). Love the Toyo / Nitto tire looks and are a really good price point.

    Just my opinion...
