    280 miles?

I can hit about 350 if I push it, and 320 no problem

And I drive the truck hard

I'm sure the MT tires and the lift don't help the MPG lol.

That's also when the gas light came on. I usually just fill up when it comes on.

    Yeah.... Must be heavy tires.
320 and my lights not on yet.

Ur half an inch taller and I'm only running authorities in load range c.

But the truck sees boost on a regular basis.

Been using 90 octane ethanol free. Can only get it at a couple places and it’s 20 cents a gallon more than regular 87 with 10 % ethanol, but the truck likes it so it’s worth the extra money!

I filled up with 93 with ethanol. I am out to answer my question. I got 19.6 with about 20 miles of boat towing on the last 17.1 gallons. I am curious to see what I get thsi week.

X2. Although I'm not sure there is a direct benefit... And I try to only go to shell, or BP...

I thought it would be a lot more than 5$+ for 90 octane gas I was pleasantly surprised.

I notice a slight difference in throttle response (could be in my head) and a 1-2 mpg increase from when I originally was using regular

I average 2 or 3 mpg better on 91 octane than on 87 or 85. I check my mileage every time I fill up. It is more economical for me to buy premium even though it costs more. I buy 91 octane from Costco and it's usually close to the same price as regular gas from a regular gas station. I also get 3% cash back when I pay for it with my Costco card. Once I did the math I never bought regular gas again.

I think regular gas here in north Alberta is 1.26$cdn/L and 1.40$cdn/L

That's around 4.62usd/gal for the cheap stuff, and 5.14usd/gal for 91/94 octane. My math may be off but it seems right.

Canadians get totally ripped off at the pump, especially considering the oil and gas production in this region.

That's probably because the Americans own all our oil then sell it back to us for inflated prices!

Doesn't make sense, it shouldn't run rough just because of the octane rating??

I feel that my v6 isn't near as slugish on 89 as it was on 87. It also gets 20-30 more miles to the tank on 89 vs 87 (mixed driving). I run 91 when prices are down and i use addatives like seafoam if i leave the truck sit for a week or more and i use addatives like gumout or lucas every 5-10 or so fillups

Never seen a difference with the octane rating.

Here in the magical land of California, we switch between 10% ethanol (winter blend) and no ethanol (summer blend) every year. Gas with ethanol reliably kills my mileage by at least 2-3 mpg. That I can prove.

The truck also seems to run somewhat worse on E10 and with less power. That I cannot prove.

Corn-based ethanol is a joke and America needs to quit handing out subsidies to corn farmers for this crap. I know we've been doing it for over forty years but it's time to stop.
