Just got a new 2015 double cab 4x4 trd off road with (has 4 leafs). Mostly road driven but will take it offraoding once in a while but nothing too hard core. Not going to add and bumpers, camper shells, and probably at the most 100-200 pounds of weight (guns and targets :D) in the bed. I want to get as close to a 3" lift and i want the truck as level as possible but dont want to spend the extra money on UCA's so it that means only 2.5" im fine with that.

Looking at this kit with the 885 coils. I assume they are pretty much the same things.

    http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/OME-Tacoma-Suspension-lift-kit_p_231.html

    Here are my questions.
    1. Wheelers off road has the "newer" ome shock/struts. Worth the money over the older versions?
    2. Do i need the top plate spacers? Are those for the tacoma lean?
    3. I dont wanna spend the money for the Dakar rears. Do i really need to? better ride with the Dakars?
    4. If no Dakar just get the 2" add a leaf?
    5. Do I need anything else?

    Thanks in advance!

    Some stuff...
I can only comment on #2 & #3 - Dakars are good for hauling loads but will stiffen your ride. AAL should be good if your not gonna add a topper or haul heavy loads.

OME 886x with OME shocks, Dakar springs, LR UCAs, ARB bumper with Warn VR8000. Midland 75-822 cb with 3' firestik. Cooper AT3 265/75/16 on stock steelies, rear diff breather mod.
Top plate spacers are for extra lift, one for each side. You probably won't want those if you're wanting to stay under 3". Looks like both kits come with the trim packer, which does correct for taco lean. It goes only on the left side. I've got Dakars and like them...a little stiffer ride but not bad.

I want to get as much lift as possible but don't wanna purchase uca. Spoke with headstrong and Marie said to measure where I'm at now then we will go from there. I'm for sure NOT getting the dakars. Thinking 885's, top spacer if it's not too high, and the add a leaf

I just did a OME 884/nitro lift and Wheelers progressive AALs (minus over-load leafs) for my AC Tacoma (2.7L).

Very pleased with the ride (still have stock rear shocks, replacements are ordered).

Measurements are listed below (hub to fender):
    FD 22.5 FP 23.0
    RD 23.5 RP 24.0

A 1/4" spacer is on order to address the TACO lean...so I would recommend you include ONE (for the Drivers side) in your shopping cart.

Not so pleased with the Alignment, as my Cam bolts are maxed out.

If your trying to avoid running aftermarket UCAs, I would say 885s are going to be too tall.

He said he's got 1 spacer on order... I'm no expert, but the trim packer is sold for a reason and spacers come in pairs for a reason. With that being said, don't just use 1 spacer, get the trim packer. I was agreeing with you... :D

Lots of guys especially with 5100's use a single 1/4" top plate spacer on the drivers side to correct for taco lean but with OME shocks you can use the OME 5mm trim packer that goes below the coil seat

Just measured stock heights and is this normal?

    drivers front right under 20"
    drivers rear 21 3/8
    pass front right under 21"
    oass rear 22

Just looked at your numbers , a 1/4" top plate spacer might get you closer to level side to side

So be aware that at least one person had issues with the OME Nitrochargers having trouble fitting on the rear of a 2015. There was no trouble mounting the stock shocks (obviously) or any monotube shock. But the OME had problems on his truck. It isn't clear if his truck's mount was defectively manufactured in some way or if the mount is actually different on all 2015 trucks. You might try to double check with Wheeler's that they think this will fit a 2015 and that they will take it back if it doesn't.

Link to the guy who had problems with OME on the rear of a 2015:

Marie at Headstrong told me that she had 2 or 3 that had the problem on 2015 but the others were just fine. Kinda weird if you ask me. Ill call wheelers tomorrow also.

Thanks for the additional info guys. Yeah, sounds like just purchase from a reputable place that will accept a return if you are an unlucky one that has a problem but otherwise you should expect them to fit most likely.
