Had the seats folded down and forgot to put the headrests back, but I think I might leave them out because I can see what's behind and on the right side so much better. Wasn't an issue, but I like it! Anyone ever try this?

I leave mine out as well. Also gives me a little more room for the kids car seats. Double win.

I always fold mine down. That way if the kids ever get in, they can put them right back.

I had mine out for a while. The visibility is way better. Then I thought, if I ever get in an accident and somebody is riding back there, it'll probably break their necks. So I put them back.

If I didn't have little people to haul occasionally I'd take the whole mess out, seats and all, and build my own cargo area.

But since that's not an option at this time, and I feel it's best they have that cushion between their noggin and the glass, I leave them in place.

However, they do fold down, so it's really not too big a deal. When I forget and leave one up, I do notice the difference then.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Yep, they just pull right out in my 04, took them out the moment I got it off the trailer. I did the same on my 2011 access cab as well, those blocked the view even worse than the ones in my double cab when they were folded down! I hated them and how much room they took up. I had to pull the rear panel out of that truck to get to the bolts holding them on, however. Think I ended up just tossing them out.

Yeah it really its if you live in the city. A quick glance right and you see the whole world.

Going to try it with them just folded, I do have pax pretty often.

I have an '11 so my rear headrests do not fold down. I leave them in for around town driving but take them out if I'm taking a trip that will involve a lot of highway driving. They really do block your vision out the back window.

Mine are off. Much better vision. Just store the behind the rear seat in the storage compartment for easy access.

I've had mine out for a long time. Vis is WAY better. But I've also forgot to put them back in for passengers. Don't do that. Get rear ended and their head is def hitting glass

2012+ the rear head rests changed, they became fold down. Pre 2012 you couldn't

Haha I was thinking the same thing. I was like are they talking about folding down the entire back seats?!?! But a folding headrest makes more sense. :D

I put them back in and folded them down, still 75% more vis. Love it, great feature.

Took them out before I left the dealers lot. Have not a single clue as to their current location.

Actually forgot it even had rear head rests until my dad got his 2014 the other week.
