piece of cake and if you use factory plugs (ngk or densos)

some here may say use anti-seize....I recommend NOPE

the plug manufacturers denso and NGK both say do NOT use anything on the threads

they already are made to go into the head and not gall or wreck anything, and if you

    a) use a torque wrench to install them
    b) change them every 30,000

    they won't seize

the possible problems with anti-seize is

    - electrical contact is via the threads, you install goop in there, you can compromise the spark or ignition system trying to overpower the resistance

    - heat issues. spark plugs and head is designed for no thread coatings whatsoever, if you add anti-seize it may insulate and hold heat where is was not designed to, compromising the plug or the threads

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
I know someone is gonna chime in here and say 'well I use anti-seize and have never had an issue '

really ? so what is the measured difference in heat propagation and electrical conductivity with and without
anti-seize...and why is that better than what the plug manufacturers recommend (no anti-seize) ?

it probably doesn't matter a whole lot...but why risk blowing up a coil ?

If you get oem plugs they will already have a small amount of anti seize on them. Just don't over tighten. 30 min job.

That's why im doing a whole bunch of stuff to my truck (while the weather is nice)

Besides the plugs I know for sure another oil change (at the most late summer) and Im finally going to rid of the anti theft lug nuts and while I do that mind as well rotate the tires and in about a month change the pads and turn the rotors.

Use an extension that pivots on the socket wrench....made my life so much easier when changing plugs!

It's basically an extension with a u-joint in the middle. Makes is so the ratchet can be at a different angle, making it easier to remove and install the plugs.

Also, I'd use neversieze, just a very small amount on each plug despite 127's compelling argument against it. I like the piece of mind knowing the plugs will come out next time and I'm not buying that the thin layer of graphite between the plug and the heat is going to cause a coil to fail. In a spec-built race engine, maybe but not in a daily driver engine. Just don't go nuts with it, a small dab will do ya.

I used a short extension then attached one of these and it worked great for the drivers side gaggle F$&* you will encounter.

Mine did, I assure you. I'm not going to argue because I've changed out the plugs on my truck 3 times now. It's not a lot but it's there.
