Truck is 6 months old with just over 10,000 miles. The plastic on the driver's side door right where my knee touches has a blemish. Looks like the color is being rubbed out of the plastic. I'm going to take it in today and will update the thread but I'm curious if anyone else has had this issue or if you think they will do anything about it.

To me, it appears the area where your knee rubs has made it clean, while the area around it is dirty.

Have you tried to clean the entire area?

    This.

Plus I doubt they designed it to have knees touching it all the time.

That said, interior finishes on lot of cars seem much less durable these days. My wife's Jetta's interior door panels are awful, like exfoliation awful.

My initial thought was to clean it but yes, I tried a couple different products and they made no difference. I just dropped it off and the service writer seemed positive but we'll see how it goes. He basically said, " Yeah looks like the color is coming out. If I can warranty it I can't promise the new one won't do the same thing."

    ^ This.

That is not a warranty issue. Clean your panel or stop putting your knee there.

Just heard back. They say the dye has been worn out of the plastic so it's not dirty but as suspected they will not warranty it.

This is what I expected but the dealer is a mile from my house and it's a pretty new truck. Why not take it in. Worth a shot imo

Rub your knee all over the panel until it all matches. :D

Use a magic eraser and lightly clean the area with a mixture of half warm water and half vinegar.

When the magic eraser gets wet it becomes an abrasive. So do a little then dry it, rinse and repeat

    This is why automatics suck.

Time for a knee rest mod.
