Leaking Oil!!! Anybody else have this issue?

    Definitely what it is. It's happened to my truck, OakleyTRD's truck and I've read about several others where the rear main seal went out before 60k miles.

    Well, once they replace it, I sure as hell hope it lasts more than 29k miles this time!!

    To answer your question... You'll be fine driving it. Just check the oil level every few days as it doesn't seem like it's that big of a leak. Sucks to get a leak but warrenty ftw. Thanks for the heads up!

    Yeppers, oil pan dry, drip from bellhousing hole = rear main leak. $500.00 of 7yr/100,000 drive train warranty coverage. Get it done free. My truck had 48k on it when I got it & dealer tried to sluff it off as sloppy oil change. Negative, fix the rear main seal please. They had no convenient argument & just did it. I find it highly lame for rear main to be leakin before 50k. Never had to do mine on the 82 & it had 400k of abuse on it.

    How long was it in the shop for? Mine is leaking and I have to have a vehicle to drive. New truck doesnt get here for a few more weeks and dealer wont give me a loaner car.
