Radar detector weakened by windshield in 09?

    Yeah, but mine usually picks up the laser they used on the guy .5 mile up on me so then I know that fuzznuts is in the area and I slow down...just in time for him to laser me from his hideout, which is too late cause I already am down to like 5 over....haha

    I haven't noticed a degraded signal on my Cobra. It came out of my Dakota and right into the Tacoma. Mine's mounted low on the windshield...center.

    I think a radar detector should be standard equipment on a vehicle :D

    Yea, it will work anywhere... your best bet is to ask and get info off the radardetector.net forums.

    With laser... your only hope is a good laser jammer with a kill switch (make sure they aren't illegal in your state first). It is random luck if your RD picks up the beam bouncing off a car in front of you, usually the RD just becomes a ticket detector with laser.

    As for speed cameras, same thing.. I think you just have to really be aware and try to spot it.

    I thought jammers were illegal in ALL states? Detectors are illegal in several...
