yeah, if I could get a little better price on the materials and get the build time down a little, I probably could. Maybe next year in my garage(if i can afford a good welder) during the weekend and evenings that I don't have homework.

I had to pay for the materials, but I will be getting a grade on them. Hopefully it'll be an A like I got on my front bumper. :D

hell i wished i had a shop class that well equipped back when i was in high school. then i wouldve made a lot of stuff for my truck. of course the shop they have at my old high school has pretty much everything imaginable now

great job on those sliders though. u will have to do a test run on some rocks and see how well they really hold up :D

Thanks to everyone for the compliments.
Yeah, I was able to build front and rear bumpers for my chevy back when I was in HS, but the shop there was tiny and had nothing compared to my college shop here. Here is what the rear on my chevy looked like in a test fit pic, I think I might do a bumper for my tacoma that looks like a hybrid of it and the new allpro plate rear. That'd look pretty sick IMO.

so being that u are apparently talented at welding/fabricating.... may i suggest u get off yur ass and possibly consider opening up yur own shop by any means necessary & start makin the big bucks for yur talent??!!!

im just sayin.... yur young and apparently have lots of talent for havin an eye for nice lookin fabrications. Especially if u came up with the dimensions for the fabbing yurself (even with help u still seem to know what u are doin)

i dont know what u are goin to school for but i hope it has somethin to do with fabrication

Well, it has been Mechanical Engineering (so kinda close) but I may switch to an Environmental sciences major as i'm not 'feeling it' with ME major so much. There's a place called 'The fab school' down in california that i'd really like to go down to and go through their program, but my dad insists that I get a "real bachelors degree", but then he doesn't care what I do. It sounds a little stupid to get a degree if i possibly wont use it, but I see where he's coming from. A college degree of some kind is quite valuable these days. I'll probably do the 'Fab School' in a couple years, after I get a bachelors degree. I really do love to fabricate stuff though so i'd really hope I could open my own shop in the future, probably one aloong the lines of Demello Off road.

i know parents are always gonna push for whats best for u, i myself used to get pushed by my family to get into the medical field bc my uncle is a pharmacist and makes hella $$$. i for one hated the medical field and didnt want any part of it. so i went for what i love... art, or graphic art. got a 2yr degree and did that for a while, got burnt out and went to massage therapy school. before i did that my papaw jumped my ass for "not knowin what i wanted to do" but i didnt care what he thought or said. i went to school on both accounts for what i love to do, no matter the $$.

with that said, if yur gonna go for a bachelors go for somethin u will want to use. but IMO i think u should stick with yur passion no matter what. if u ever need someone to come up with any graphics for yur company hit me up. sockmonkey does decals/signs as well and is VERY reasonable on prices :D

im just tryin to push u as a person who knows the importance of what u want to do vs. what yur forced into doin. u will only kick yurself in the ass later on for not doin just that. at least take what i say and think on it. i wish the best for ya and hopefully u will get into doin somethin u will be happy at and not hate it.

sorry, but i had to ramble... and i wished i wouldve had this type of motivation yrs ago from my fam/friends rather than later

EDIT: sometimes a bachelors degree, or any degree for that matter, dont help for shit. sometimes its all in "who u know"
