pics of lift and tires

can u guy please post pics of ur 3" lifted truck from the side and tell me what size rims and tires you have? im torn between 275 and 285 so this should help

i gunna throw this question in...in a 285/70/17 tire the second number is the height right so why does it look much bigger than a 275/70/17 and only the width change?

Tire calculation (using 285/70/17):

Width (usually in millimeters) = 285mm
Height (percentage of width) = 70
Diameter (diameter of rim) = 17

Convert metric units to standard units:
285/25.4 = 11.22 inches

Calculate height of tire sidewall:
11.22 inches x 0.70 (this is 70%) = 7.854 inches

Add all the heights:

7.854 x 2 (since there is an upper and lower part of the sidewall) + 17 (wheel dia)
= 32.708 inches

Using the above method the 275/70/17 is over a half inch smaller in overall diameter.

 

305/60R18

 

Tire calculation (using 305/60/18):

Width (usually in millimeters) = 305mm
Height (percentage of width) = 60
Diameter (diameter of rim) = 18

Convert metric units to standard units:
305/25.4 = 12.01 inches

Calculate height of tire sidewall:
12.01 inches x 0.60 (this is 60%) = 7.206 inches

Add all the heights:

7.206 x 2 (since there is an upper and lower part of the sidewall) + 18 (wheel dia)
= 32.412 inches

 

My tires rub though, I should mention that. I already trimmed the body mount, but they still rub a teeny little bit on full steer. oh, and I got a 3 1/2" lift on the front.

 

18"s with 33"s.

 

Probably because of the width of the tire but what is your offset and back spacing?

I really like your wheels. This is the size wheels and tires that I want to get. Do you have any rubbing and did you have to trim anything? Also what size lift do you have?

3" lift (front) rear is stock.
285/75/16

 

3" Revtek kit. BFG All Terrains on Motometal 17x9 chrome wheels. Had to take off the front mudflaps and trim a little off the inside of the flare on the front bottom portion. Only about a half inch. Nothing noticeable. Also cut off that plastic knob that sticks down on the lower front of the inner fender liner.
