    Good to hear. Maybe Stant fixed the problem. I noticed you pulled on it, but mine came off pushing hard and turning left. You may check that too.

    Dude that thing did'nt want to come off!!! Know I'm wondering about the check engine light but I don't think so,went to some campuses to drop off stuff and it was o.k:)

    Maybe Stant has a quality control issue. Some work and some don't.

    I guess I'll try another one, especially if gas prices go way up again. BTW, love the signature. So true.

    35% tint windows, OEM black running boards, OEM black roof rack, Foglight mod, De-badged & Sockmonkey Horns decals added, Two ammo box storage units (removed), 110 volt & 12 volt outlets for back seat area, EGR Slimline inchannel visors (all windows), Fold-A-Cover G4, Tonneau, Bedmat.
    I've added the Stant cap and short of a Major effort can't remove it (with out the key).

    Sounds like they have indeed addressed their issues. Good to know.:)

    Have had a Stant 11504 for about 2 months now with no problems...no CELs, and I've done about four fill ups with it.

    I also tried everything but a crowbar to pry it off and no luck. The push + left twist trick does not work. It sticks in there.

    Happy with it.

    Just an update It has been 9 days since last post and I have filled up about 3to 4 times know took a trip to Chorpus Christi and had NO ISSUES with the Stant locking gas cap#11509:D on my 2008 dbl cab long bed 4x4!
    Hope this helps someone!!
    hmmm wondering if it makes a different on short or long bed?? I don't think so but I wonder??:confused:
