Got mine 06, v6, 6spd about 14months ago, traded by 96 Z-34 with 60K on it, a frigging lemon. They gave me 2grand and I paid 22K for my SR5 truck.

After reading your orginal post, it sounded like the homelink mirror is a factory option.

It's not a factory option and why I mentioned it (in case people got the wrong idea). It's an accessory that you requested the dealer to install.

I ordered a homelink mirror off ebay and installed it myself.

I got my 06 SR5,V6 with factory trailer hitch, 6psd and the correct color that I wanted, in Oct 06, basically a left over, as one dealer had 20 left overs and no new trucks.
My original dealer that I worked with had no trucks like I wanted and I found this truck 20miles from my house. So my dealer went and got it, after I threatened to cancel my order, I know I could have made a very good deal with the dealer that had the truck as they said they would match or beat any thing the larger dealer had.
At that point the truck I wanted was there and they went and got it for me.
My truck had 18 miles on it when I picked it up.
If there had been a number of trucks with the setup that I wanted( I had specified no off road package) I could have done better $$$ wise.
Since it was new and I really needed a new vehicle I did the best I could at the time.
At the dealers they had some nice 05's and 04's with relatively low miles and in very good shape and the prices on the window stickers reflected that. They were asking 23K for used truck's. I know its all negotiable but it seems to reflect the value of Toyota trucks as resale.
I am in this for the long haul and expect to have my truck for 10-12yrs at least. I am banking on toyota reliability.
I do tow a small bass boat during spring and summer, fall, I am getting about 19-20mpg and 16-18 when I tow. Very little highway towing to get to my favorite lakes.

Damn ! That was a hell of a price. The dealers out my way only come out at night, they say the sunlight is bad for they're health ?

I just bought an 08 X-Runner less than a week ago. The only options that I bought with it were the ToyoGuard and a service plan (to have oil changes and tire rotations at the dealer etc.). All that plus the tax, tag, title, and fees was just over $25k. Not too bad considering the MSRP was also just over $25k.
Hopefully I will be able to post some pics of my first Taco soon. :D

DavidAhrens, sounds like a nice truck, lots of new Taco trucks here in the North East, as they are selling good. One of my friends who has a 4door v6, somehow got the dealer to throw in about 5 free oil changes and tire rotations.
Our local dealer(one of 6, with in 15miles) has a great service dept reputation and a lousy dealership(sales) rep. I have been there twice, once to have a tire repaired and the other the oil changed. Everything was done on time and with out a hassle. I am developing a relationship with them, just enough so that they recognize me, just in case I need warranty work. Otherwise I prefer to take care of my truck by myself, if possible.

I got my Tocoma last week for about 23.465$. Its a 07 PreRunner SR5 2x4 V6 4door almost fully loader. My trade-in brought it down another 4.000. It had 200+ miles on it ,but I can't complain.

Got mine for invoice, right at $23K. Still wish I had gotten the Sport, though, that would've been a couple thousand more, at least. Sports aren't easy to get around here, from what I understand.

Very similar to mine, it had 240 on it because they had to bring it from NC. However, my warranty is now 36,240 miles (yes, I have it in writing). I hope they did the same for you???

No I think mine was just one of the last 07 they had on the lot and I know people had test drove before me. They just had it on the show room floor cause it is at the end of the year so they can make room 4 the 08's.

When I looked at Taco's at the dealers I had two colors only that would be my choice, Brillant Red and the lighter blue metallic, the salesman told me that color was only available on the Sport model. It seemed as though they did not have any in stock but one and that was an auto not a standard like I wanted.
They only had one coming in on invoice also, so I would have to agree that Sport package Taco's don't seem to be the dealers favorite.

Check this invoice from the dealer. They are offering factory invoice on this before title, tag and sales tax. There also is a $1000 rebate on 2007 models. Do you think this is a good deal?

What I do not like is the stupid "TDA", which is a Toyota Dealer advertising. Do we have to pay this? What about the Dealer Holdback and Wholesale Financing Reserve crap? What do you all think ???

Nope, you can negotiate out the TDA.

Stand firm and negotiate down for under invoice. Tell them you want it for the invoice price OTD and see where you get. You have room because this is a 2007.
