Dealer tried it at 25,000 last week. Some garbage about the brake dust has nowhere to escape the drum. I was 75% and front was 60%. Ummm yeah ok mister. Just the free oil change and replace blower motor.

And hard on main bearings..... I'd rather pay for pads. :)

My truck is nearly new (less than 4k on it), but my wife's CRV has 72k on the original pads.

After searching seems like Hawk lts pads with Brembo rotors are a good way to go for replacements....im going to give m a try.

Why is down shifting any harder on main bearings then up shifting or is it the same and what is your expertise ? Thanks for any information and reply.

Let us know how that works out. What model Hawk and Brembo are you getting ? I'm doing mine when the weather breaks so I have to make a choice too. Thanks.

As long as you get the right pads (not race pads) you'll love them. I use Brembos and Hawk HPS pads on everything - a little more dust, but much better stopping.

Will do. The pads are Hawk LTS for truck and suv from Autoanything.com ($69.00), part # HB490Y.665. I got the Brembo rotors off of Tirerack.com ($76 each+ shipping). Going to install soon. Will post feed back after

Thanks for the reply. I get the Hawk LTS - light truck right ? Are there various models of Brembo rotors ? Did Tirerack.com have a better price then Autoanything - is that why you split the order ? Thanks.

Yes, light truck. Tirerack has a special on the rotors right now. Check out the site. I cant remember the original price but was significant.

Not sure but the Hawk HPS pads are probably very similar to the LTS, maybe the same ? Either one is probably a big improvement over OEM.

Looking at them on Tire Rack, I think the HPS may be a bit softer / higher performance. The LTS look like they may give longer life.

Like you said - either will be better than stock.
