Just got my 2009 Access cab Taco.... Love it, except it has this big flux capacitor looking subwoofer between the jump seats that cramp my dog.... Anyone know how to take it out?

It maybe funny looking and get in the way, but the stereo is just so underpowered without it there. Are you planning on replacing it with something else?

Not replacing it.... I'd like to be able to install/uninstall as needed... but if not the dog is more important to me than more ear damage... I've already got enough of that to last....

um....with that system, you will get more hearing damage with driving with the windows down. Your ears recover very well from lower frequency abuse than high freqs. .02

As to the orginal question though...I don't think I've seen a quick in/out deal with the stocker. Once you go through the pain of removal, you will likely leave it out if the sound system is of no importance to you.

It comes out easy you just have to pull the covers off and remove 4 bolts. Also just unplug the harness. easy as that

That is not convienent if you are not at home. Easy would be...remove speaker wires from box...remove box from truck.

One you pull the wiring harness off you lose all sound. Is there a trick to delete the subwofer without losing all stereo?
