aero turbine 2525

im thinking of getting a aero turbine for my 4.0 the clips i have heard make them seem to sound very close to a v8 sound. and i will be doing this for budget just the muffler not a full cat back or anything. What do u guys think of them.

it's a 6...it'll never sound like a V8. You got the wrong truck if you wanted it to sound like a V8



But it WILL sound good with that exhaust though.

 

I have the aero turbine, and it's the best I've ever heard. Tried flowmaster, and magnaflow. Many times I've had people mistakin it for a v8 and i'm like no it's a v6.

No, originally I had the magnaflow catback. It had a nice tone, but a little quiet for me. Really had to gas it if you wanted to be noticed. I just switched out the aeroturbine in place of the magnaflow.

Pittman you missed it, tried installing Y pipe with Bcredneck and it came up to short!

 

Is it because Fred has an aftermarket exhaust, or did he order the wrong pipe?

 

Not trying to hijack post, but it was for my truck, and i'm still trying to figure out what happaned. Made a thread about it, PROBLEM are all U pipes created equal.


I also heard the aero turbine on many other vehicles and I like the tone that it gives off. Has a nice gurgle when you let off the gas and decelerate using your engine. If you havn't looked at the video's of how they work it's worth watching. I know it's probalbly all a gimic, like how every exhaust is better then the next one but it's a pretty strait through design.

From what I've been hearing on YouTube (not that that's a real accurate representation), the Aero Turbine 2525 isn't anything special. Still sounds like crap imo.

Have to say mine sounds nothing like that. I've seen this video before but I have no raspy-ness. Wish I didn't break my video camera so I could make a vid for you guys.

 

I have the 2525XL it definitely isn't as raspy as that video makes them sound. I also have it paired up with a Volant intake.

 

Replying to Chris its a really open exhaust. You could stick a pipe through it's opening in the middle. The grated part on the inside is around this opening which supposedly makes some air go slower and when it recombines with the air going through the open center section it makes back pressure or something. I'm not saying it does anything as I'm sure it probably doesn't, but I can say that many tacoma owners have told me there next exhaust will be an aero turbine after hearing mine.
