What is the diiference between SR5 DC, Shortbox 6spd tranny and TRD's other then the "cosmetic" stuff and all the gadgets.
Suspension wise mine came with the 4leaf rear springs, bilstein shocks. I looked at TRD both Sport and OR and can't seem to find a significant difference.
    Just looking for info:)

just that every 09 now has the auto lsd including the OR that still has the locker...throws off the whole knowledge base of LSD=sport only and locker=OR only

same here....but the good thing about the 09's having the auto lsd and open diffs is that a locker can easily be installed then its an OR w/ color matched everything

Not in Canada no. I've seen a few around but I think they are from the states. In Canada the TRD access cab is the Off Road and the TRD Double Cab is the Sport.

Yea cause the 09 Sport = nothing! and the 09 OR = Locker and ATRAC. I think taking all the lines the TRD Sports couldn't on the last trip proved that point ;) If you're gonna wheel it, get the Offroad. If you want it to look pretty and it's gonna see fire roads, campsites, and mild wheeling, you'll be alright with the sport. A lift and tires will go a long way until you start stuffing and putting tires in the air.

I never noticed an advantage with the mechanical LSD in my 07. It doesn't seem like it's tight enough for worth while offroad use. Hell mine didn't even do a very good job on pavement. Until you get to ATRAC, Toyota's automatic traction control systems were designed for pavement.

what lines??? ur smoking shit now. gotta call up the army docs and tell em to get the cup ready. my TRAC only kicked a very few times during that trip. i think it kicked in more while playing out on bragg. speaking of which, we need to take eddie back there one day. anywho....once i get my locker on mine, the only difference will be ATRAC vs. TRAC

Once you get your locker. But mine already has one and thanks to ATRAC I hardly ever use it. My ATRAC only kicked in a couple times putting tires in the air where the Sports had to take a different line. TRAC was limiting wheel spin to prevent fish tailing or one wheeled burnouts. Not so much to maintain traction and forward motion. That's why you can stand on the pedal with TRAC on and not move.
