If they rub, just pull off the front mud flaps and your issues will be resolved. I'm running 265/70/17 on procomp 17x8 4.5 bs and have no problems.

What kind rims ? I ran 265/70/17 on 2010 4runner rims and didn't rub. I even lowered with tundra racing kit and had no rubbing issues. Think factory rims shouldn't be a problem.

Going with some aftermarket wheels. Fuel vector. So I might have an issue?

Hey guys.....sorry to hijack this thread but I'm in the same boat. Currently running an all stock 2012 double cab TRD sport short bed.
    Tires/wheel: 265/60/18.

I'll be getting bilsteins all around in a week or two and looking to change my wheel set up. If I get this wheel and tire combination, will there be any rubbing? Will the wheel fit the tire?

    Thanks all.

Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
Have 265 70 R17's BFG ALL TERRAIN on my 08, no lift, never have had a problem.

Even have the spare tucked up under, same brand tire, same size and even with the same style rim, no problems with that either.

Do it, it makes the world of difference. Helped me get by before finally figuring out what lift I wanted.

A Work In progres 2015 Taco
    Getting started....
I'm getting the BFG All-Terrains 265/70 R17 this weekend on my stock 17" wheels - my Tacoma is 2015 - I'll come back with some pics next week - fingers crossed.

I moved ahead on the sizing after reading this article: https://parts.olathetoyota.com/blog/4536/toyota-tacoma-tire-sizes

    Is states:

    Over-Sized 2005+ Tacoma Tires
Note: These recommendations are based on the factory wheels. Using an upgraded rim with different backspacing will allow you to increase to a wider tire. Also, if you go really wide (more than 285), you will want to consider fender flares.

    No Lift Kit

    Max tire sizes are:
15″ rims: 265/75 R15 – A 265/80 R15 tire would fit just fine, but no one makes one to our knowledge. 265/75 R15 is the largest available size.
16″ rims: 265/75 R16 – one inch taller but same width as factory
17″ rims: 265/70 R17 – one inch taller but same width as factory
