I hear that there is a cord available that provides a direct IPod connection to the back of the stock stereo? Anybody have experience with this? Who makes it? Where is it available?

    Thanks!

Yes I have one on my stock JBL stereo. I have to select CD #6 to play from my Nano. I purchased it through Circuit City (now closed) about 2 years ago. I'm sure it's something Best Buy would carry. The price was less than $80.

I got the metra adapter from circuit city. It'll get you audio, but no control. Other folks have the USA Spec adapter which does have the controls too.

There was a site that I found a few months ago that carried the control box, cable and 5v adapter for the iPhone 3g. Thinking about getting it.

+1 for the USA Spec...A bit more then the metra-But you have full control of the iPod thru the stereo, get text display, and it sounds pretty good imo. Also super easy to install.

What year truck do you have?

There's tons of options available. Use the search button at the top blue bar.
