Ive had CIVIC SI before and it required premium gas only. Ever since I got this tacoma 3 weeks ago, ive been using 93 octane and it working ok for me so far. But I am gonna try 87 this weekend and see if I can save few cents.

I have had my truck for over a year and used 87 Octane religiously and averaged 340 miles a tank. In the last 2 months I switched to 93 and average 380 a tank plus my truck runs alot smoother.

you will need to run the gas a few tanks for the computer to adjust, probably three tanks and the computer will be fully adjusted..

many people have noticed that is costs about the same amount to run 91 or 93 as it does for 87 and as a plus the truck runs smoother on the higher octane
