Well I made it home on the 2nd. So needless to say the paint was dry. I wanted to spray some clear coat so thats what I did. That turned out like shit, made it look all fuzzy like the spray snow in a can, you know what you use for christmas. So I tried to sand just the clear off. That almost worked. I used 400 grit and water sanded, made the factory black look great and smooth but I used too much elbow grease in a few spots on the silver. I then sanded all the silver down real good and taped off the black again and resprayed the silver. The silver looked great but 24hrs isn't enough time for the remaining clear to dry on the black!! I sanded the black down real good, let the silver dry and taped off the silver and re cleared the black, then sanded off the snowy looking shit. This is what it looks like on the truck. The silver is not cleared.



The clear I used was Rusto-oleum Crystal Clear Enamel, I tried 2 different cans with the same snowy effect. I don't reccomend it.

I would let it sit overnight to dry just to make sure. Depending on how well your paint is adhering to the plastic.
