Does my 2009 Access cab 4 x4 have a low fuel light? I could run it down and find out, but I generally like to have at least a half tank.

yeah most cars do have the fuel warning light. unless its so old that you have to do the old dip and see test. take a piece of dow rod or somthing and stick it into the gas tank and see where it leaves a mark on the stick. but no your 09 most definitely has a low fuel light

Yes... I think it's a law that all vehicles have one. On ours it's a little orange circle by the fuel gauge.

There is some disagreement about whether or not it comes on w/ a chime (I've never heard one, but others have), but it'll come on when you're nearing E. You'll have many miles to go before you run dry, though.

Yes I have also never heard a chime sound when my low fuel light comes on. But then again I always have the radio on. :D

Might be missing the point- but who cares- there is a gauge that tells you how much gas is in the tank...

Ok... So I let my tank get way down to have the light come on!

The 09's don't have a beep when the little yellow light comes on on. Also my light came on when I had (estamiated) 3.75Gal left but that was today, it could be different next time BUT I dont like to push it.

Knowing my driving habits, my MPG trend along with what my guage says is good enough for me to know when I will need to or when I should be filling up.

On this tank I got 21.6mpg went 384 miles on 17.78G. I don't usualy like going past 360 miles, I like to have a cushion. Oh ya and 90% of the time I use the same pump when I fill up not just the same station!

Ya 4 gallons is!! When I had my Ranger it was 3gal and got 20mpg! Where as my Taco I get about 21.5mpg so thats about 80 miles but i don't push it, but nice to have that info if needed. So what if i fill up one or two more time a month. Still going to cost the same unless the next day is thursday! Around here thats $.05 off day at the most of the Gas stations!

Still amazes me that the 4x4 AC Taco 4.0L V6 is about 1000lbs heavyer then the 4x2 AC Ranger 3.0 V6 and gets better mpg's then the Ranger.
