I've had my '09 for 2 weeks now, and just got an Undercover last week.

I like it for its ability to be a locking pseudo-trunk with reasonable weather resistance. When needed, though, it's easily removable to get full bed access.

You know I voted for the soft Tonneau as I added a Trifecta the week I purchased the truck. I've had at least 10 trucks and have had every kind of tonneau made; soft, hard, and roll ups. I have to say I like the roll up the best for being versatile but loved the look of the fiberglass. I went with the Trifecta for ease of use and it was everything I wanted in a tonneau. Recently I've been rolling NAKED as I keep loading up the truck. So after 3 weeks I've decided I no longer want to roll with a tonneau. Even with the incredible ease of the Trifecta I've gotten tired of removing it and then having to stack it with the other stuff I'm carrying. Plus now that I have a box up by the cab I miss the roll type as the Trifecta blocks the lid from opening. Anyhow, I'm tired of investing money in these things and have decided since 90% of my driving is in the city and I'm not reaping the benefit of fuel savings; I'll just drive NAKED.

I have a hard cover tri-fold. I routinely have several thousand $$ worth of baseball gear in the back so I was hesitant to get a soft cover that could be slashed. The really nice roll tops were too expensive for me plus I like the fact that I can remove the cover in minutes to have full access.

MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL A LOCKING TAILGATE SWITCH! I got one installed for about $100 that connects to my central locking so when I lock the truck, it locks the tailgate.

Well I actually went about 130 miles going around 80-85mph on it one-way and it held up great! I mean the windows are soft plastic so the wind moved them around a bit but nothing unusual. There is also 3 different tension settings so you can mess with that too. Then I drove another 130 miles to make it back home and same thing, held up great!

whats funny to me is... that is half of my car... right there... and people are like "does it work! oh noes!"

truth be told. its a tent. strapped to your ass. and its gonna hurt your mileage.(a bit)

just be glad you drive a truck with some aerodynamics. not a brick like my jeep.

brick+tent strapped to ass=low teens.

Undercover

Over the years, I have had a cap, a fiberglass tonneau and now an undercover. I liked them all, it all really boils down to what you are into at the time of purchase.

Soft Tonneau - Access LE rollup with water seals.

Definitely the best modification I have ever done to my truck. I usually drive with it covering my tool boxes and whatever else I don't want people to see. It keeps everything in the bed very dry. Plus, it rolls out of the way when I need to carry some bikes or furniture or yard stuff or whatever.
