Definitely the best modification I have ever done to my truck. I usually drive with it covering my tool boxes and whatever else I don't want people to see. It keeps everything in the bed very dry. Plus, it rolls out of the way when I need to carry some bikes or furniture or yard stuff or whatever.

This goes down with Velcro right? Im stuck between this cover and the trifecta. I cant decide which to use. I haul about 4-5 loads of dirt and gravel and mulch every year. If anything gets in this velcro, will it be useless? I know when velcro gets dirty, it dont stick anymore.

And for those guys with a trifecta, Can you fold it up to cover your back glass to have full access to your bed, or do you have to take it off completely?

This isn't your average velcro - this is heavy duty hook-n-loop stuff with a lifetime warranty. I have yet to get so much stuff in there that it won't stay latched shut. I did get a ton of concrete dust in the right track when I miss calculated a throw of a quickrete bag. I just took a brush to it, and it all came out.

I had the trifecta on my old truck for 2 weeks and traded it for the Access LE. I don't think it was the Trifecta's fault, but it kept flapping at high speed. I think the install shop that put it in was a bunch morons.

You mind posting some pics of the velcro and maybe some shots of the cover rolling up?

No rush.

Is that quick enough for ya?

A couple of problems with velcro is it doesn't weather well. Eventually you will have to replace the velcro, like I did(Big pain in the ass). I had that setup long ago on a truck(I will never again use a velcro cover). Also it has zero security. You can't leave anything in the bed.

with a shell in California, you can get your truck reclassified as an SUV and you don't pay the weight penalty on your registration

And never ever do the ones with metal snaps. The snaps WILL rust!
According to AgriCover, I should never have to replace it. If I do, it is covered under warranty, and they send me an entire new top. So far, I have owned this top for 2 years with over 60,000 miles on it, and it has moved from one truck to another. It has definitely exceeded my expectations as it still operates like new.

As for the security, I wouldn't say that it has zero security - nothing is fool proof, and any "soft" top can be broken into with just a sharp object. However, you can't just pry this top open like many soft tops. As long as my tailgate is locked, and the cover is closed; no one is going to be able to get into the bed of my truck without some serious effort and attention. To open the cover up, you have to release a latch that is inside the bed.

...then again, my windows are much easier to break than the cover is.

My friend and I broke into his MarkLT's ARE hard top cover with our bare hands when he dropped the keys off the dock. Nothing is completely secure when some one wants to get past your security badly enough.

I like the soft top for its versatility and usefulness. If I got another long bed tomorrow, I would get another one of these. If I got a short bed tomorrow, I would get a bed cap. I would use a trailer for the oversized stuff.

I'd have to say cap and tonneau cover. I often need things secured and kept out of site so the tonneau would be the key choice, however the need for a larger protected space is always there for storage. For the cover, an Undercover tonneau cover would by my choice, for the cap, one of the Leer caps would be good.

Question: On very bumpy roads, I notice the bed does bounce around a bit (a little flexing in the frame and mount I presume). Does installing a hard canopy reduce that flexing of the bed, or does the canopy flex with it? And if so, is there any reason to worry that the canopy might contact the cab when you're bouncing around?

best look is open bed

best "usefulness" is cap because you can lock it, and you can sleep in it, but the looks changes to more like a suburban type than a pickup.

Mine is currently open which is handy, but, I'm going for a hard tonneau.
That way I can carry more stuff securely.
Plus it is easy to remove for hauling again.
