sweet cap. what did that cost?

Hi all brand new to taco's just got my first an 2010 DC LB 4X4 sport. Love it!!!

My question is I carry lots of gear in the bed and want it locked up!

I like the hard covers but I also like the tri fold but it must lock! What does everyone recommend? Also what is this locking tailgate that locks with the normal door locks? I don't care too much for the pop n lock.

Thanks all

imo a cap on a truck make no sence to me if i wanted that id woulda just got a suv
also i would never put a tonneau on a 4wd truck unless it was a street queen the pourpose of a truck is to haul stuff and a tonneau would just get in the way of that

but on a x runner most def i would have one on there

I agree but when i haul several thousands of dollars of kiteboarding gear around I don't want to remove it from the truck each day but I need it locked.

go with a hard cover. they have their own lock which indirectly locks the tailgate. On the 2010, you will lose your back-up camera if you go with a pop-n-lock. Incidently, the back-up camera is fantastic for hooking up to a trailer!!!

Roll-n-lock on my crew cab. If I could do it again, I would've gotten a hard top just because I haul a lot of crap and perfer the storage over looks!

Bakflip HD, it's based on the same design as the G2 but with aluminum panels and heavier duty weather stripping. The cover sits flush with the box sides so it gives the naked look with the convenience of lockable storage. You do lose access to the side rails but the front rail is still usable. The D hooks in the bed are more secure than the side rails anyway so I don't miss the side cleats as I wouldn't trust my motorcycle or sled tied to the rails.

Plus it just looks better too. Caps look like SUV's and tonneaus just look weird. Especially hard ones.

But if you need it to serve a purpose, then its all good. But not for me.
You know what, this is what I am going to do from now on. I hate to thro trash on passanger floor when I drive and eat. Good thing I got access cab and its not to horrible to reach the rear window.
