I have an 09 tacoma. I just bought a roll up and hinged tonneau cover for my truck. Although it looks nice, there are some gaps on the front and rear of it that I just don't like. Did the seller supply me with the wrong one? am I missing some trim pieces? or is this just the way it looks, hence return it. Is there some way I can mod it to look nice and keep out moisture?

The main problem is the fact that the "side rails" are higher than the tailgate. The box, and parts say 2005+ tacoma DC short bed. They are stamped all over. I order the "Berlin Hinged Tonneau Cover", very nice except for this one small problem.

Hmm.... I have a Lund Genesis Rolltop and mine fits MUCH better than that. I'd definately take it back to the seller and get a refund.

I have an Access Limited Edition and it came with seals because of the gap. It's the way the truck is... the front and tailgate are lower. If you like the cover otherwise, just get some weatherstripping...

I sent an email with the pictures to the company that sold me the cover. Hopefully they will get back to me tomorrow and I will let you know what they say. Thanks for the input.

    Same here.

The gap on that thing is horrendous. Looks like you'd need 2" of weatherstripping which is complete nonsense.

Return that cover asap, it does not fit.

Another thing are the snaps, they will not make it through one winter without some of them breaking off.

Do a search on either a Truxedo or Access tonneau cover. They may cost a little more but they are worth it.

Although I do agree with you on the snaps. I like how it hinges open like a fiberglass cover but I can still roll it up. I called the website I bought it from and they are gonna look into it. I have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so we will see how good this is. I put a little bit of weather stripping on the front and it easily solved the gap. The real problem is the back. I think I was sold the wrong front and back rails.

    Thanks again

GOOD news!! Wrong cover. Part number for front and back rails are for a dodge dakota. New ones are already in the mail. Sweet.

I would say you should return it and get the Access tonneau cover. That was the first mod I did to my truck and it fits perfect
