Lifting my truck

hey to yall. I have an 08 TRD PreRunner i want to put a 3" lift on it and some 33" tires. I dont do much off roading,just some trails. I was thinking of going with Toytec Ultimate lift kit. Which lift would yall think would be the best for me to go with?? Thanks

 

It just depends on what you wanna spend. That is a great option. There are less expensive choices but why cheat yourself?

 

Try to stay away from a spacer lift. Go with coilover lift. The Toytec ULK is pretty solid for what you pay. If you got a little more coin in the bank get some Icon's, FOX's, or Kings. Maybe think about getting some new UCA's also, Total Chaos, Camburgs, or Light Racing to help out with alignment. Not really needed but definitely recommended.

Pretty much just search the forum and research each kit. Ask other members what they like and dislike about their setup.

I have an 01 4Wd and i just put the tuff country 3in lift on my truck and i like it alot it was cheap and not that hard to put in. Its the spacers in the front and blocks in the rear. The only thing is when you do the front you have to compress the springs which is not very easy if you dont have the right tools. Me and two friends put mine on in a day.

In my pm I said the kit was a great idea but honestly if you don't plan on wheeling it I would go a little cheaper and save some money for your other hobbies. I Have a basic 3" lift from toytec and the ride is great, hell when I get home come drive my truck. I'll be home in a week or so.

 

yea lucas im at work too, ill be home on wendesday the 29th. so u think the lift with spacers and aal would be fine

 

I wouldn't do the spacers but a simple coilover and AAL. If you get the rear spring Tsb you will have the TRD shocks. Which would be a step up. I have the TRD shocks on my setup and haven't had any trouble yet.

 

I got to have the front bumped up another 1" though as the springs settled a little. The ride is GREAT, lots better than stock.

i have the spacers in the front and one inch blocks in back and the ride is pretty good and looks great imo.... mine is basically a street queen no wheelin for me unless needed ....

 

They are wrangler duratrac's. This thread is super old though.

 

if you are not wheelin hard there is absolutely nothing wrong with a spacer and a rear block. I have the low range off road kit and love it. 1'' rear tapered black for driveline angle correction, 3'' top strut spacer, and a diff drop. stock ride, sweet stance.

To be honest ive done a good amount of wheelin with this set up and everything is fine.

also, OME lift is nice. I put mine on with some LR UCA's and love it. Great stance, nice solid ride. Quite a bit cheaper than the ULK and everything is pretty much the same with the exception of the adustability. (No adjustable front COs) .... but then, i don't see any reason I'd ever want to adjust my front end.
