Guys....I have got a serious rant I need to get off my chest..About a month ago I had a Readylift kit installed on my 5-lugger from the local truck accessory store, and ever since the front shocks and rear leafs have been clunking and squeaking. I finally brought it to my usual mechanic today who ascertained that (get ready) the front shocks were switched (Left on right side and vice-versa), and nothing was tightened down!! This caused the front brake lines to be squashed between the bump stop/LCA's also. I just got back from a 300 mile trip to Orlando, good thing nothing bad happened! I found out my mechanic could have installed the kit, from now on truck installation stuff will go to him. What kind of rampant buffoonery is this anyways?!?

(Yes I got recourse from the truck acc. place)

When I had my kit installed, I watched everything to make sure it was done properly. I'm glad nothing worse happened!

I just don't understand how someone can screw up left and right. You take one side off, do the work, reinstall it, and then move to the other side. DUH.

..that was a pretty mild rant. I'd have lost it.. snapped.. punched the guy in the solar plexus... naw, but seriously - you're very fortunate nothing serious did happen. What did they do to reimburse you for having to get things done right?

there are alot of members in FLA ask around before you have work done. I posted up when I was doing my lift and up had a TW member do it I saved a bunch of money and he did a great job.

To ozmon....to answer your question, the store was less than "ideal"..

To Rogue, they offered to fix everything for free (I told them don't think so) so they are going to comp me a credit-

Just can't believe I kept it together!
