This question is for those of you who have (or who have seen in person) a Magnetic Gray Metallic Tacoma with the TRD Sport Package:

Is the color keyed gray on the outer grille bezel (MGM) the same gray that is on the horizontal grill crossbars in the middle? In some photos the gray looks like it might be the same and in others it looks like it may be different. I'm probably going to buy an MGM Tacoma but I would like there to be at least a little bit of contrast between those two grays in order for the front to not look so monotone. Either way, I think the color looks simply badass. I like the ease of care and the metallic look of silver but the deepness of black so I think MGM will be an awesome compromise between the two.

    Thanks so much,

    Wes

from what i understand the 09's grill has a more greyish color to the crossbars, whereas years previous were black. it looked almost the same on my MGM. but now that i have a grillcraft, no need to worry :)theres a pic in my gallery of the grill... not very good quality though...

So was the color so close that you couldn't tell a difference? It sucks that I don't have one in my area to look at.

    Thanks so much,

    Wes

At quick glance I would say yes it's the same. After staring at it awhile it looked different. Perhaps just my eyes playing tricks on me lol.

The MGM is the best colour out there in my opinion. I have had mine a month and have only washed it once. The MGM really hides the dirt and dust. I had a White 01 Taco and I was washing it constantly to keep it looking clean.

But the white does hide scratches better. I love the grey though

I washed mine last weekend for the first time, had her about 3 weeks. Didn't even really need it. Does hide dirty VERY well. Without closely inspecting it the only way you could tell it was dirty was the fact my wheel wells, tires, and mud flaps were all muddy haha.
