Idk man, I get 40+ mpg in my 1993 Civic Coupe (EX with the V-Tec)... its not super fast but its still fun to drive. I got a pretty nice set of free proxes and wheels the other day. I feel a little bit better driving it :) plus its paid for!

To each his own, I just like poking fun at Prius owners. Sadly, I may be one someday, then I'll cry. The wife kinda wants one.

I bet Taco supply gets even hinkier as they move the manufacturing to Texas.

That sucks man, hopefully the prius works out for ya (really, i'm saying that with a straight face as much as I can :D) At least it sounds like the taco did it's most important job, keeping you as safe as possible in the wreck.

Even though you don't have a taco atm, doesn't mean you can't hang around still :D

So i'm guessing that if i joined prius forums and posted a video of me doing donuts in my blown taco they wouldn appreciate it as a fellow toyota owner ?

Probably not. I won't lie, every time I get next to a prius at a light (which is 80% of the time in portland) I have to drop it in neutral, rev, and smile. I just... hate hippies... so much....

^ its not so much that i dislike hippies. Its the fact that alot of prius owners that think they are doing the eco friendly are very wrong. Producing those batteries tech is very NOT eco friendly. If you're doing it for mpg than oh yea you can't beat those little suckers but dont drive around thinking your 'ish doesnt smell....i've had too many run ins with those owners...but than i dont think i've owned a car before the taco that got more than 15mpg :D

Cowtown is Fort Worth, "Where the West begins." The only cows in Houston are in McDonalds!

    Thanks ktmrider!

I am still trying to get my Man Card back at work. I am in the market for a good used pickup. But for now I am having to settle for NRA and TSRA stickers on my Prius.

    It is fun to drive!

The only time I think about the hybrid thing is when I fill up once every 8-10 days and only put 8-9 gallons in the tank. I have completely taken gasoline out of my budget. And i still drive normal, lead footed, no tree hugging for me.

Not saying you were man, you deff have the right attitude about what a Prius is all about. :D I do have to admit, sometimes that sounds appealing but I'd probably have ran with a civic or something just... cause. :D

Well, there are cows in Houston if you know where to look. ;)

When you think you are ready for another taco, let me know. I saw plenty on web sites like autobuyer, lemonfree.com, autotrader.com, etc. when I was shopping for mine. I wanted a brand new one but knew that I could save as much as 10k if I bought a low mileage used. Here are a few in your area that I found in a quick search. I only entered 2000-2005 models.

    Good luck!

I don't buy the "fun to drive" part, however. 0-60 in 2.5 hours is not fun to me but to each his own. Then again, Algore's son did 110 mph in his Pious so I guess anything is possible (except manmade global warming, of course). I can certainly understand owning one if you work on the road like that, though.

From what I understand they're fairly snappy... at least a lot of people have said so. I never bought it either cause I've always been into twin turbo, 300hp range... the Tacoma's dog slow compared to my norm but quick and fun for a truck lol.

2010 Prius is very snappy. You dont realize how fast you are accelerating because there are no shift points to slow you down then throw you back in your seat. It is one smooth car.

And it will do over 100 very easily and can cruise at 80 very comfortably. Of course the tree huggers will faint if they read this. :)

Nothing wrong with a prius...Matter of fact its a smart choice as the resale is strong and they are well built cars!
