THE BEST LIFT KIT taco 4x4

does anyone have any sugestions for me on what is the best lift kit for
09 taco 4x4 4 door long bed.
want a 4 inch or 4.5 coil over kit but cant find one that looks good.
looks like im gonna have to get a 6 inch. not that im disapointed in that.
so ... fabtech, procomp, or tough country ?

please let me know what you guys think......

Tallest lift you can do with a 4x4 is 3". Anything taller than that you have to go with a drop bracket 6" or lose your CV axles.

 

Yea anything above 3" on a 4x4 is going into "brah" territory imho. - Not only that but if you go like a 6" than you'll just be losing functionality over a 3"

I have the toytec ultimate lift kit and im completely satisfied with my 3.25" lift. Rides much more comfortably than my stock trd sport suspension. The coilovers DO NOT have to be rebuilt unlike a good many other kit coilovers AND the price is REALLY reasonable.

 

Yeah, a 6" lift on a Tacoma is way too much. If you want that kind of lift, get rid of your Tacoma and buy a full size truck that is more suitable to such a big lift and tires. The 3" lift on a Tacoma is just right.

 

I had 9" of lift on my tacoma. I had the procomp 6" lift and a coil spacer 3" lift.. I guess it all depends what size tires you want to run to match up with how much lift you'll need. But I do recommend 3" or 6" no bigger.. lol

 

4" body lift is the best IMHO.

 

Man I'm about as happy as a pig in shit with my Bilsteins set at 2.5 on the front and a Pro-Comp 1.5" AAL in the rear....The truck rides as good n' smoove as a stocker, feels firmer in the corners and short of being just a snatch hair off from factory spec on the caster has no vibration or creepiness....Key word here is..."Smoove"!! Oh yeah it was cheap too....$295.00 for shocks. $50.00 for the AAL. $350.00 to intsall and align. Another $1300 on wheels and KM2's.

If I could do mine over again I wouldnt change a thang! My only plans are to add a set of UCA's when I get the motivation up!

 

Why has nobody mentioned the RCD 4.5 inch drop bracket lift. It is exactly what he is looking for.

 

well those all suck, lol. and he must be confused because all the ones he mentioned give more lift than he is looking for.

 

yeah i thing from what everyone is saying if your gonna go with something taller than plain ol 3inch than .
rcd 4.5 seams the way to go .
