Just curious what our 2nd gens are really doing at 200K?

I know what fails on the early models and its all fairly simple straightfoward stuff....I do wonder of our 2nd gens are gonna be as simple when they start to go south? Anyone know what start breaking that expensive?

Fuel pumps? Auto Tranny failures? AC Compressors? Bearings?

    Just curious....

That was my first guess that with the added weight and force generated on our bearings and driveline that our trucks will probably experince issues commonly found in half ton type trucks....Bearings, Trannys, etc....

Certainly we have some members that are closing in on that 200K no?

I've seen about 4, I do smog checks here in California. Nice thing is the Tacomas with 200k+ passed emission very cleanly and CO, HC, and NOx levels are still low!

I almost made 200k. I had 173,500 on my 2005 DC prerunner when I traded it for my 11. I had a U-joint go bad around 120,000 miles, a wheel bearing around 160,000 miles. Other than those nothing major. Still had good power off the line. If I would have kept it, I would have been crossing the 200k threshold now. I got my 11 at the end of April last year & it has 23,000 miles on it.
