what did you tell the stealership? did they make you fill out a report on what happened? or do they pretty much just replace it no questions asked?

Dude find yourself a Paintless dent guy in your area, that would be about 50-75 bucks to push out and they will wet sand and buff and little scratches I buckled my whole tail gate thing looked like a taco and I pushed it back in and had a dent above the handle and this dude got it right out

Well initially it bent a little loading a Honda 450 dirt bike but I got pissed and bent it more and made it more noticeable so the dealer wouldn't ask any questions. I showed up to the dealership with the TSB in hand and they asked no questions.

I completely buckled my tailgate inward while loading my race bikes into the bed. I got it fixed but it still curves out alittle when its closed. IMO the tacoma tailgates are flimsy.

    Pretty much stock
take it out with the dry ice method! go to the grocery store and get a block of dry ice for like 2 bucks....it might not take it all the way out but it will make it alot less noticeable.

The back up cameras are a great extra, but you need to use them to prevent you from backing into something, not after.

That being said, with a new truck, it would bug me until i bought a new one. Being my fault, i would eat it myself on general principle. Kind of my incentive to not make the same mistake next time.

Far as I'm concerned buying off ebay is just as bad as stealing it yourself. Where do these guys get their tail gates from? Junk yards?

If you believe that I also have a very lovely bridge to sell you. Cheap!

so what your saying is that everyone who sells and buys stuff on ebay is buying and selling stolen items...that's 1 of the most retarded things I have ever heard any body say...

do you got any proof that the items sold and bought on ebay are stolen? you do know paypal and ebay help protect their sellers and buyers against fraud...

so what if these guys are getting tailgates from the junkyard...do you know for a fact that they stole it? what if they payed for it...

not trying to sound like an @ss...but i have never had a problem buying or selling products on ebay...

Why would you buy a new tailgate. Just take that one to the body shop for repair and painting. I did the same thing but hit a mailbox. Cost me $200
    and it looks like new.

its a battle scar, you could check any local junkyards that you have around and see if there is any tacomas that you can take a tail gate off, slim chance but it might save you a couple hundred.

I never heard of anyone getting it done with the 09's. however there is no support inside so they must be pretty weak.

Wonder if it would be possible to remove the inside of the tailgate and use a rubber mallet to pound the dent out yourself? $5 bucks for the mallet and 1/2 hour of your time...

And, dude... hedge clippers, please...
