Hello all, I'm new to this forum but I need some help. I'm getting the Suspension TSB done on my Tacoma tomorrow. How much lift can I expect out of it? I have an 07 DC 4x4. I'm contemplating a 3" but if this is enough, I may just level the front. Any help from anyone is helpful.

u'll only get about 1-1.25" of lift in the rear...and nothing in the front.

Do you suggest I go with that and level the front or lift it?

well i have the tsb done and a 2.5" level kit in the front and my front is slightly higher than the rear. i'm planning on adding a 1" block to the rear to pick it up higher than the front. the level kit that i got was polyurethane, but i'm not sure if the aluminum or SS spacers would give a different outcome regardless of the 2.5"

I got the TSB done (new leaf springs in back only) and did a Toytec 3" lift as well with the spacers in front and a 1 1/2" block in back, and it looks level (I say "looks" because I haven't actually measured yet). I love it, and the ride is condiderably more truck-like (which I consider a HUGE positive). Dunno if this helps you at all, but thought I'd throw in my two cents.

u should be able to get it. check ur leafs in the back and if u only count 3, then ur eligible since u have a trd. if u complain about bottoming out, etc u can get it done. so dealers are asses about it, so u may wanna try just calling and pleading that way first. they made it b/c of people bottoming out w/ a load less than the rated amount. it will make the rear a lil stiffer and lift it up 1-1.25" in the back as well....and u'll get a front end alignment done.

I've attached the TSB which was last updated 9/12/07. Might be helpful to print it out and bring it in to the dealer if they give you a hard time about getting it done.

This is what I'll probably do. I'm going to go with either 16" (was told the 16" may not work eventhough I have 16" stock wheels) or 17" Dick Cepek DC-1 Blacks for wheels and the BFG ATs. Hopefully it looks nice. Thanks for the input.

Did you get the upgraded Bilestein shocks?

It took me like a week to get mine done... from calling the dealer and get it done, also they did the TSB (old) for the wind noise, they replaced the weather-strip and finally they mentioned that for the Tailgate bend the tailgate have to be bend prior to request any TSB done.

Happy at last with the local dealer (there is only one).

I haven't needed anything done yet? But can I just drive in and ask them to do it then or would I have to make an appointment? I don't like to be without my truck any great length of time!

A tip from me, get the TSB document, read the reason of it (first page), then use their own word to explain the "problem" and if they get tough to "understand" then you show them the printed document. You can call them to complain and when required you may fax the document. But once on dealer's office (as for American Express) do not get with out it (TSB) for any chance they give you a hard time.

    Regards.

My dealship service manager was a dream about it as I've stated in this thread before. They will honor it, even if you have to put the pressure on. Most definitely, doooo get it done. It made a very noticable and worthy difference in my handling and load capacity. Drives like it was intended to be now, a Tacoma Truck.

I finally got my truck back. They had some issues, took them 3 days. I second what mvega said, you have to taylor your story to what the TSB says. My first attempt I was unsucessful, but tried again. Very happy with the ride. Now it's time for wheels and tires which I was going to buy today but found out I will have to lift it for the wheels (DC-1 Black) and tires (265/70/17) I want ... darn!

That is actually what I was thinking, but the guy said because of the wheels I'm wanting, their offset and width makes it difficult for that tire to fit. I was wanting to lift it anyway, but just not yet. I guess I don't mine.
