I agree it depends on the truck.

I'm planning on getting a black double cab with the TRD off road package.

I currently have a black hilux and the chrome door handle and mirrors give a nice contrast to the black. Its not overdone with chrome. :)

Also... I'm trying to figure out if the hilux handles and mirrors would work on the tacoma.

    Thanks for the input.

Is anyone in the DC area?

I'll be visiting next week (from tomorrow actually) and might bring my hilux mirror cover to determine if it'll work on the tacoma door mirrors.

    Thanks

Wouldn't that kind of be like having a fake hoodscoop?...

    ^^ nope...

Its a chrome cover, so instead of the black mirror... it'll be chrome.

Just kidding. Adding perspective for others if you will...

Do what you want. It is your truck. I think chrome accents can look fine on many trucks.

Just don't paint your body panels and/or rims with black bedliner...

All i'm planning to "chrome" are the door handles and door mirrors. This is how my hilux has it currently and I like that look.

I don't usually like chrome but I think on a black truck what you're doing will look good.
