    Just enough, and never enough
I used Peel n Seal from Lowes which is what i thought the OP was talking about, never got around to ordering the raammat when i put my subs in a couple years ago. Peel n Seal has worked great behind the subs and was super cheap too. I think its in the roofing section, but it is on their web site sooooo if you want to check it out...

Interesting topic and one I think is worth the effort as well. So what would we need to do for a group rate? I saw the OP stated we already get a discount on Raamat, but do we need to flash a card or something to exercise it? I would also be interested in knowing if just covering the doors and back wall would make a significant difference? Those areas appear to be the least involved. :D

Actually the back wall is very much involved. As the speaker vibrates to create sound it does push air in the door enclosure. The mat in the door enclosure helps to absorb the sound waves and stop any rattling.

I am not an expert so this is a layman’s definition as to why the deadener is needed inside the door.

Correct, less time to install but yet reap some benefits of the sound deadening material. The doors and back wall appear simple enough, but removing all the seats and carpet for the floor and/or roof liner are or at least appear to be very involved. Granted, the floor is probably the biggest difference when completed. Although, the doors and wall should provide some benefit for the effort as well? I wonder if anyone has any before or after results with an audio measuring tool?

I love working at Best Buy, 10% above cost =]

But, if you want cheap, but good deadening material, look into FatMat.

i did my entire dbl cab with Raamat...bxtII and ensolite. Took me two days and is the best investment I've made in the 27 cars I've owned. Rick spent nearly an hour with me, discussing why i wanted to do certain areas of the truck, why his stuff was the best for the money (not the best ever made) and he was absolutely right. I had my stereo equipment installed by a 30-year old stereo shop in town and they sell dynamat. Their head installer told me when I picked up the truck that he was thoroughly impressed with what Raamat did...and he sells dynacrap. It's over priced and every time you buy it, Chip Foose makes a buck. Support a guy who gives you a discount even just beause you're a member of this forum. He even was telling me about having his son move back in...i'm telling you, it's like buying from a friend.

I'd definitely join in on the group buy! Sound deadening is next on my list after I receive my door speakers. I've been thinking about doing the doors of my access cab and probably the back wall. If I decided to just do the doors and back wall, what would be the difference between doing that alone or doing the floor along with it? Would there be a HUGE difference if I added the floor or just minimal?
